During 2009, the Chino Hills Community Foundation’s first project goal was to raise funds to enhance the children’s section and other areas of the James S. Thalman Library.
As a component of this very successful fundraising campaign, the Foundation’s Board of Directors planned an evening reception to recognize the generosity of its donors and sponsors. Held at the Chino Hills Government Center, the catered event included a silent auction, live auction, and live music.
The Foundation’s benefactors enjoyed a tour of the James S. Thalman Library and an opportunity to mingle with other donors who support the Foundation’s mission to promote and support the cultural, educational, and recreational needs of the residents of the City of Chino Hills.
Generous attendees at the reception made additional donations at the event, which allowed the Foundation to donate a total of $70,000 to the James S. Thalman Library.
